Measured floor plan
Floor Plan Maker
Enter the width and depth of a rectangular space. Check its area in the preview, then open the same footprint in Studio to place the first partition or doorway.
Other starting points
Choose the drawing you need
From one footprint to several rooms
- Divide the space. In Studio, draw a partition from one wall to another. Both rooms use the same dividing wall.
- Place the openings. Add doors to the walls people will walk through and windows on the exterior. Check the swing before placing furniture nearby.
- Check the result. Read the wall lengths in 2D, then switch to 3D to see how the spaces connect. Studio saves your editable copy in this browser.
Check the measurements before drawing inside
For the current 8 × 6 m outline, the four sides enclose 48 m². Write down each door width and its distance from a corner. Those two measurements tell you where to put the opening once the walls are in place.

Which measurements can I enter here?
Enter the width and depth of a rectangular footprint in metres, from 0.5 to 50 m per side. Choose Update preview to apply them. For example, 345 cm is entered as 3.45 m.
How is the area calculated?
This preview encloses one rectangle, so its area is width multiplied by depth. An 8 × 6 m outline encloses 48 m². Dividing it with a shared wall in Studio redistributes the same area between rooms.
How do I draw angled walls or an L-shaped plan?
Choose the blank 2D sheet on this page. In Studio, draw each wall in turn and close the outline. Use the drawing guide to practise entering lengths and directions.
Can I start with doors and furniture already in place?
The measured rectangle starts empty. The template library offers furnished homes with rooms, doors and windows already in place.
Will Studio open the dimensions I entered?
After choosing Update preview, use Edit this footprint. Studio opens an independent copy of the displayed dimensions, including the current 2D or 3D view.
